Sophie has been carefully picking pictures for her very own witch story. She stuck in some pictures, and then added her own illustrations before writing her story. She even named the main with after herself.

Clever Sophie
Sophie was at the Reading Area enjoying an alphabet picture book. She browsed through the pages and stopped from time to time to tell me the different animals, food, and things shown on the book. She really enjoyed telling me what she could see on the book. Very clever, Sophie! Well done!

Retelling a Story
Sophie played with the velcro Gildilocks and the Three Bears story. She was able to retell parts of the story very well. Well done Sophie!
"Goldilocks here!"
"Yummy yum yummy!"
"Eat no more! Oh no! No more for baby! (Pertaining to the small bowl of porridge)"
"Mummy bear! Goldilocks!"
"Oh dear!"
"Baby bear sit!"
"Where is Daddy Bear?"

Reading area
Sophie asked me to read two books to her today in the Reading area. She chose 'David gets in Trouble' and 'My Dad!'. Afternsharing those stories with her, she got more books and browsed through them excitedly. She pointed at some pictures and asked me "What?"

The quick and easy cook book for kids
Sophie took a cook book from the shelf. She turned each page one by one and looked at the photos. Sophie then asked, 'what it is?' and repeated after Ms Precious 'mushrooms'. She also pointed to chocolate and said 'This, chocolate. Yum yum yum yum!'
Jasper's Beanstalk
Sophie took the book Jasper's Beanstalk from the shelf in our reading area. She then turned the page one by one, sometimes several at once and looked at the photos. Sophie said:
-'More. No More.'
-'What's this?'
-'Finish.'

Vocabulary
Sophie got the non-fiction book about transport. She then came to me and asked "What's this?" She was pointing at the picture whilst asking the question. After I answered her, she went to Ms Clarissa and asked "What's that?" (Pointing at the same picture)
