Sophie had such a wonderful time at the Fundino Playground today with her friend Kiet! They both enjoyed riding the see-saw and used their legs to make it go up and down. Sophie was so happy everytime the see-saw moved that she could not stop giggling and screaming in delight! Well done Sophie for enjoying playtime with a friend!

The quick and easy cook book for kids
Sophie took a cook book from the shelf. She turned each page one by one and looked at the photos. Sophie then asked, 'what it is?' and repeated after Ms Precious 'mushrooms'. She also pointed to chocolate and said 'This, chocolate. Yum yum yum yum!'
Rain maker
Sophie used the rain stick in the reading area today. She turns it upside down and smiles each time she hears a sound. She then repeated after Ms Precious 'It's raining!'. Well done Sophie :)
Jasper's Beanstalk
Sophie took the book Jasper's Beanstalk from the shelf in our reading area. She then turned the page one by one, sometimes several at once and looked at the photos. Sophie said:
-'More. No More.'
-'What's this?'
-'Finish.'

Vocabulary
Sophie got the non-fiction book about transport. She then came to me and asked "What's this?" She was pointing at the picture whilst asking the question. After I answered her, she went to Ms Clarissa and asked "What's that?" (Pointing at the same picture)

Constructing a High Tower
Sophie had a good time at the Construction Area today. With the Duplo pieces, she constructed different tall structures. When I asked what she was making, she said "tower!". I then asked, "Is it a high tower?"; and Sophie said "High tower!". Afterwards, Sophie got a Lego sheep piece and put it on top of her tower. Whilst doing this, she said "Put, put, put!". Great work Sophie!

On the slide
Sophie was confident to climb on the slide at the Fundino playground. It was the first time she tried on it. She held onto two climbing holds and stepped on them as well to gain balance. She moved forward carefully with much independence.

Building interstars
Sophie played with interstars on the carpet. She looked at some animal photos and chose a photo of a mouse to make.
Sophie: What is it? (VN)
Ms Tam: It's a mouse.
She looked for some interstar pieces to make a mouse. She also made its sound " Squeak...squeak.."

Malleable area
Sophie enjoyed playing with the floam and stamps in the malleable area. She took some floam and put it in a flower cutter, then she used the stamp to press it. She demonstrated her improving hand-eye coordination throughout the activity.

Sand play
Sophie stayed for a long time in the sandpit. She used a mould to scoop sand and fill the containers. She also helped her friend to do the same thing.
Calculator
Sophie chose the calculator from the continuous provisions in the Investigation Area. She joined me and Linh Lan in the Mathematics table and started pressing the numbers on the calculator. She then recited numbers 1-10 whilst pressing random numbers.

Quack quack!
Sophie took a scarf and asked Ms Clarissa to help her put it on her head. Ms Precious saw her and said ""quack quack!"! Sophie then copied Ms Precious and started making a quacking sound! What a lovely duck! :)

Sophie pointed to frogs and said "ech op" (frog). She put frogs and ducks on a lily leaf and moved them around.

Delicious Chocolates!
Sophie and I were playing in the Malleable area with the playdough. She helped me make some chocolate balls and she put them in the bowl. After a while, Sophie looked at the continuous provisions and got 2 stampers. She used the stamper as a spoon and gave 1 to me.

Things at school
Today Sophie starts to tell Mom about things at school. She had bread and milk. Milk was in a yellow cup. Teachers sang " wash your hand, wash your hand". Teachers taught her to sing " hello friend, how are you" :)

Doll house and furniture
Sophie was keen to use the doll's house today and so Ms Precious helped her to put it on the mat. She then took furniture from the basket such as chair, bed and sink. Sophie took one duplo as well and pretended that it's walking around the house. ⭐

Fish alive!
Sophie had a fantastic time today at the Investigation Area. She took a fishing net and used it to explore the fish tank. Ms Precious started singing the 'Fish Alive' song and Sophie joined in saying by copying some counting words. She said 'One. Two.' What a great start!⭐

Malleable Area
Sophie is beginning to choose independently from the resources in our continuous provisions for her play. She got tongue depressors, knives and cups as she played with the play dough.
